Technology is vital in today's classroom. At times, I feel so overwhelmed by it. Where did I fall so far behind! This class has opened my eyes to just how far behind I am. Sometimes I think it was easier to just ignore and play dumb. I worked for twenty-five years in the coal industry before the market made a downturn and I had to look for a new career. Technology has impacted this industry also over the last several years. Fortunately, I had went back to school and earned my degree in education. So, at age 45, I began my new career as a teacher. Needless to say, it is much different and technology has played a large role in that change. This class has been an eye-opener as to the types of technologies that exist and I can see how we can connect these strategies with our students. I am looking forward to learning more and "catching up" with ways I can implement some of these ideas into my classroom.
